Supervision
I am an accredited Supervisor for psychotherapists, counsellors, trainee’s or anyone working across modalities from social workers to head teachers. Where I support the process of reflecting on practice and theory with compassion and endeavour to hold a safe space to reflect on all the challenges and gifts of working with people. I use curiosity to work with what is known, share my experience when its applicable, question assumptions held and offer support to be with what is not known. When fitting I encourage experimenting with creative approaches such as using objects, role, embodiment and art, as it often gives perspective and uncovers unconscious processes. Using various therapeutic theories, I hope my approach will meet wherever you are, through the journey of what it is to be a therapist and a human. I really understand how important it is to have a warm space where, curiosity and creativity can flourish as I know how much we need it when working with people in order to work effectively.
I have trained in Creative Arts in Supervision across Modalities at the London Centre for Psychodrama an approach influenced by Psychodynamic as well as Psychodrama theory and I am a BACP Accredited Gestalt Therapist with 12 years’ experience in private practice. I have experience of how important it is work safely alone where perhaps there is need to explore possible supports and the challenge of working within bigger institutions where there may a need to find your own individuality.
I do Supervision in person in Edinburgh as well as online, please contact me for more information on costs and availability. Watch this space for upcoming Supervision groups.

“The emotions, thoughts, and movements in a supervisory relationship devoted to wisdom culture are not as anarchistic and separate as they sometimes appear, but belong together and can generate new views, long views, on ‘what must be done.’ Long views invariably involve ecological awareness.” Antony Williams
